Recycling in the St Albans District

To help you get the most from the extended recycling service, this website has additional information to help us reach our recycling target of 60% by 2015.

Please take a few moments to have a look through and be sure to visit the site regularly for the latest recycling news and updates.

Please ensure your containers are presented at the boundary of your property by 7am on the day of collection. Any bins or boxes not emptied must be reported to the Council's Contact Centre by the end of the following working day. LATEST NEWS

St Albans Council will collect and recycle Christmas trees if left next to your green wheeled bin on your recycling collection day, provided the diameter of the base is no wider than 5 inches (12.5cm). If the tree is larger than these specifications please reduce the size of the tree prior to collection.

However, if your tree will fit in your green wheeled bin please present it here for collection.
