There is a free weekly collection of incontinence pads. Disposable nappies should be wrapped e.g. in a plastic bag and put in the black refuse bin. "Real Nappies" are an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable nappies. Real nappies are made from renewable cotton, cost less overall and create less waste for landfill. A cash back nappy scheme is currently on offer - for further information, please contact our recycling officer, Louise Palmer on 01727-819428.
If residents believe they need additional space for nappies or similar clinical waste e.g. incontinence pads, an individual assessment can be carried out. If additional space for the nappies etc is needed, then the householder will be provided with an additional collection container.
