Will there be enough capacity in the bin to take all my rubbish?
Yes, if all of the recycling schemes are used properly.
On average, each household puts out two sacks each week. A 240 litre wheeled bin can hold four sacks; in addition, households will also have recycling boxes to use for the fortnightly collection of glass bottles and jars, newspaper, magazines, aerosols, aluminium foil, cans and plastic bottles and the green bin to take cardboard, card, garden waste and kitchen waste. Larger (340 litre) bins will only be allocated to families of six or more unless there are exceptional reasons.
